MG ZS EV owner's experience in Spain
Real feedback from u/RoxDan, owner of the MG ZS EV in Spain: Hello everyone, I would like to share with you my experience of owning an electric car for the first time. Three weeks ago we purchased a MG ZS EV standard range version (51 kWh, luxury interior configuration) and we have already driven almost 1500 kilometers. Our previous car was a 2004 model oiler, a Seat lbiza, so it's a very big change.
Overall: The instant response of the accelerator pedal is amazing and the overall performance is adequate for our usage. Smooth ride on city roads and fast when needed.
Charging: Currently we can't charge in our garage, but there are plenty of public/fast charging stations downtown. So far there have been no problems, we tested several charging brands and only one of them had a problem (due to a faulty charger), so overall it was a very good experience. The DC Fast Charger is perfect when shopping for essentials and food, and also if you're in a hurry (20%-80% charge in less than 30 minutes, with a peak charging power of around 85kW).
Regenerative Braking: The regenerative braking is excellent, I always turn it up to 3 (max) when driving on city roads. Power/Efficiency: Perfect by my standards. At 110km/h, the power consumption is 14~16kWh/100km in the city (300~350km) and 18~22kWh/100km on the highway (220~250km).
Vehicle System: Powerful infotainment system. It is fast and responsive and can complete all basic operations. CarPlay/android auto is available, which is nice. Adaptive cruise control works well but unfortunately the brakes do not regenerate in this mode. Sensors: 360 camera and sensors are a plus, really helpful when parking, and lots of other sensors like blind spot warning.
Interior: Very comfortable and spacious, great build quality and aesthetically pleasing to me. I like the ability to control with physical buttons in addition to the touchscreen. The sunroof is also a plus!
App: You can locate and check the battery and other status of the car and also start the AC remotely, good experience so far.
