219,000 vehicles! SAIC's new energy vehicle sales hit record high

(Shanghai, January 1, 2024) According to preliminary statistics, SAIC's new energy vehicle sales hit a record high of 219,000 units in December 2023, realizing a significant increase in the same period-on-period ratio; for the whole year of 2023, SAIC sold 1,123,000 new energy vehicles, with its sales ranking the second in China's automobile enterprises.

In terms of independent brands, the sales volume of ZhiJi Auto exceeded 10,000 units for the first time in December, and ZhiJi LS6, equipped with SAIC's quasi-900V dual-silicon carbide platform and a number of other leading technologies of ZhiJi Auto, became the double sales champion of "No. 1 in monthly sales of Chinese brands of all categories of pure electric vehicles above 200,000 yuan" and "No. 1 in monthly sales of medium-sized pure electric SUVs". The LS6 became the "No. 1 monthly seller of Chinese brands in all categories of pure electric vehicles above 200,000 RMB" and "No. 1 monthly seller of medium-sized pure electric SUVs". SAIC Passenger Vehicle (including foreign trade export base) sold 41,000 new energy vehicles in December, an increase of about 25% year-on-year, and the "100,000-grade long-range super hybrid" Rongwei D7 DMH ranked among the top three in sales of medium-sized plug-in hybrid sedans. SAIC-GM-Wuling (including foreign trade export base) sold 124,000 new energy vehicles in December, up 39% year-on-year.

Joint venture brands, SAIC Volkswagen in the joint venture pure electric camp continues to lead, December sales of new energy vehicles more than 20,000 units, an increase of 134% year-on-year, ID.family sales of 19,000 units in a single month. SAIC-GM's new energy vehicle sales in December increased by 312% year-on-year, reaching 19,000 units, "100,000 yuan national pure electric sedan" Buick Micro Blue 6 single-month sales of more than 10,000 units.

Since the release of SAIC's new energy three-year action plan in 2023, the independent joint venture brands have focused on the new track, and have been making strong efforts in parallel. 2024, with the accelerated implementation of the three-year action plan, SAIC's new energy automobile business is entering a high-speed development stage, and will make greater breakthroughs.
